The past few months, we have been seeing an influx of embracing designs and furniture pieces that make rooms feel like they have been in a home for years. Antiques, natural textures, worn fabrics, etc., all help to create a “lived in” feeling, while avoiding making the space feel just plain old! For the walls of this dining room, we did a vertical stack shiplap and painted it a brighter color, knowing that most of the furniture will lean dark and cozy, as we did not want the space to feel gloomy or cramped. A statement piece that we all gawked over was definitely the pendant light above the dining table. This is the perfect mix of textures and colors to create that feeling of forever home.
